On October 15, 2018 (Monday), the Regional Administration Blagoevgrad and the Center for Development of the East Planning Region held a final press conference to promote the results of the project "Green Buildings for a Common Green Future - GREEN" CB006.1.11.038, funded by the first call of the Interreg-IPA Cross-Border Program Bulgaria-Macedonia 2014-2020.

The Ministry of Finance, together with the Center for Development of the East Planning Region, organized an Information Event for the announced Public Call no. second MSIP 02/2018 for submission of requests for use of funds from the Second Municipal Services Improvement Project.

On October 16, 2018, representatives from the Center for Development of the East Planning Region and the national coordinator Pharmahem from Skopje monitored the activities that are in the phase of realization within the project "The Old Centuries in Males and Pijanec".

On September 29, 2018, within the manifestation "Days of rice" in the municipality of Kocani, the tourist information center "Ponikva" officially started its work.

The main goal of the tourist information center is to offer as much information as possible for the site and for the recreational center "Ponikva", but also to promote a preserved and improved environment, sustainable use of energy, development of different types of tourism, as well as strengthens the institutional and human capacities for tourism development throughout the East region.

On September 20, 2018 in the premises of the Municipality of Stip, the contract was signed with the selected most favorable bidder Vardargradba - Skopje for realization of the project "With the youth in a common green future".

The contract for the construction of the kindergarten in the settlement Senjak, the head of the Center and the manager of Vardargradba have been signed in the presence of the Mayor of the Municipality of Stip Blagoj Bocvarski.

On September 25, 2018 in the village Negrovo, municipality Pehcevo, The Educational Center for Nature Conservation was officially opened.

The Educational Center aims to enable students, students and other visitors to become acquainted with the natural values in the Bregalnica region, as well as to support the educational process for nature conservation at all levels of education in the region and wider.

On September 13, 2018 in the Tourist Information Center "Ponikva" a workshop was held on the topic "Creating a vision for Osogovo - future protected area". The workshop was realized in cooperation with the Macedonian Ecological Society, within the framework of the Program for Nature Conservation in Macedonia supported by the Swiss Confederation.

On September 10, 2018, in the premises of the Bureau for Regional Development, an Agreement for realization of projects for development of the planning regions was signed. The agreement refers to the realization of the second project for which the Center for Development of the East Planning Region was granted funds for financing through the Program for Balanced Regional Development, which will be performed in the Municipality of Delchevo.

On the 20th of July 2018 the sixth session of the Council for development of the East planning region in the municipality of Berovo was held.
