Second thematic workshop "Together for greener, brighter and cleaner future" within the "Green buildings for a common green future - GREEN" project CB006.1.11.038, financed by Interreg - IPA cross-border program Bulgaria - Macedonia

On April 11th 2018 in the "22 Septemvri" Hall in the municipality of Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, the Regional Administration and Center for development of the East planning region organized a second one-day workshop on "Together for Greener, Bright and Cleaner Future" within the "Green Buildings for a Common Green Future - GREEN" project CB006.1.11.038, financed by the Interreg-IPA cross-border program Bulgaria-Macedonia 2014-2020. The thematic workshop was attended by high school students from "Ljupco Santov" -Kocani, "Vanco Prke" - Vinica and the Language gymnasium from Blagoevgrad. A total of 62 high school students attended the second thematic workshop. The event was opened by the Deputy Regional chairman, Ms. Antoaneta Jancheva and the Manager of the Center for development of the East planning region, Ms. Dragica Zdraveva. The lecturer at the second one-day thematic workshop was Dr. Stefan Kirilov

Topics covered within the thematic workshop:

  • Production of energy and environmental protection;
  • Energy sources;
  • How to save heat and electricity?
  • Sustainable and efficient use of energy;
  • "My place in nature"
  • "What can we do for a greener, cleaner and healthy environment"

 

The objedctive of the second one-day thematic workshop was to get young people to know and get informed about global environmental changes and their consequences on the environment. To think about solutions that can be applied in protecting their environments. When implementing activities to consider sustainable use of natural resources. Through the workshop, high school students had the opportunity through interesting video clips and presentations to get acquainted with the causes and consequences of ecological disasters, the positive and negative effects of energy production and environmental conservation, energy sources and their characteristics as well as the negative impact of energy production on the environment. The youth showed great interest in the proposed topics and they were involved in group work as much as possible. The second part of the workshop was devoted to delineation of positive and negative factors of the production of energy.

The one-day tematic workshop was successfully realized, materials in addition to the documentation. This is the first mutual project of the Center for development of the East planning region, Stip and Regional Administration, Blagoevgrad.
