As part of the planned activities that are undertaken to implement the project for Establishment of regional planning and geographic information system in the municipalities of Eastern Montagne region on 26th and 27th of March 2014 at the Municipality Cesinovo – Oblesevo, representatives of the firm KALIOPA, Republic of Slovenia, held a workshop with professional and responsible persons of all eleven (11) municipalities within the region for continuing the activities under the project.

At this stage the situation was discussed with the addressing model and the tax system, the problems that arise in the implementation phase, their overcome and compliance of needs.

It is expected by the end of 2014, according to the set timetable for the project, the first and the second phase to be fully completed.

Within this project there was a work meeting between representatives of the firm Kaliopi from the Republic of Slovenia, the Mayor of the Municipality of Kocani, Mr. Ratko Dimitrovski and Head of the Centre for Development of Eastern Montagne Region, Mrs. Dragica Zdraveva. The meeting was held to consider extending the of the project III (third) stage, i.e. the inclusion of underground cadaster GIS system for all municipalities in the region.

Given that this project is implemented by a grant from the Government of the Republic of Slovenia through the Program for bilateral technical assistance to the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, discussed the possibility of providing additional grant and economically justified costs, affordable for municipalities in implementing the III (third) phase of the project.

The conclusions of this work meeting will be presented at the meeting of the Council for the Development of Eastern Montagne Region, scheduled for March 28th at Municipality of Berovo.

On March 20th 2014 (Thursday) at Mill Mulino restaurant in Skopje at 12:00h regional projects of eight (8) regions ware promoted. Those project ware prepared under the grant scheme with condition on performance with total of 400,000 euros, funded by GIZ RED program for regional economic development in Macedonia.

The purpose of this event is to promote the importance of regional development and readiness to present the development of regional centers for preparation of project proposals with high quality and financially sustainable ready for implementation.

The event presented the experiences gained during the process in identifying, selecting and developing projects in a participatory and transparent manner and presentation of the projects.

Head of Centre for Development of Eastern Region presented the projects approved for funding, "Sports and Recreation Center "Bregalnica" and "Building a regional nursing home" as part of the "grant scheme to support the East region."

The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Minister for Local Government, Swiss Ambassador and German Ambassador in Macedonia, Director of GIZ Macedonia, representatives of international organizations, line ministries, Mayors, Centers for Regional Development and media.

On March 17, 2014 in Skopje , organized by the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning, held a meeting and presentation of the Proposal - Plan for Waste Management for the East Planning Region.

The meeting was opened by the Deputy Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, attended by the mayors of eleven (11 ) municipalities within the east planning region, Head of Centre for Development of East Planning Region, Head of the Administrative Office of the Regional Board for Waste Management in the east planning region, as well as other representatives from the Ministry of Environment and Physical planning .

From 03.12.2014, the Centre for Development of East Planning Region began the project "Grant scheme for support the East region", a project funded by GIZ RED Program for regional economic development in Macedonia with Financial Arrangement no. 83160868.

On 03/21/2014, the Project team of the project PPP4Broadbend realized meeting with Mayor of the municipality Makedonska Kamenica - Mr. Darko Mitevski. The project "PPP4Broadbend" is funded by the transnational program for South East Europe, where the Centre for Development of East planning region and Center for Knowledge of Republic of Macedonia are partners with other 10 partner institutions / organizations across Southeast Europe.

On 18^th March 2014, at the hotel "Nevrokop" - Municipality Gotse Delchev, Republic of Bulgaria, was realized press conference for the project "Networking between multimedia centers in the cross-border region - CREATIVA".

The purpose of this press conference was to inform the public and target groups with the project "Networking of multimedia centers in the cross-border region" and the activities that will be undertaken as part of it, and the results which will be realized.
