Final conference for the programme for development of the East Planning Region 2015-2019

Centre for Development of the East Planning Region conducted a participatory process for the preparation of the Programme for development of the East Planning Region 2015-2019, with the support of GIZ RED Program for regional economic development in Macedonia. The programme is designed in accordance with the methodology of the Ministry of Local Government (Rules of the methodology for the preparation of planning documents for regional development, Official Gazette no. 102/2009).

Forming a cluster of creative industry in the East Planning Region

One of the activities under the project "Networking of multimedia centers in the cross-border region - Creative" is creating a cluster of creative industries in the East Plannig Region. For that purpose, on 07.11.2014 in the hotel Izgrev in Stip, a second workshop was held for forming the cluster. The workshops actively participated by representatives from the business sector, NGOs, artists, writers, singers, designers, architects and so on.

Establishing Business Center for Support and Consultative Services for Small and Medium Enterprises in the East Planning Region

Centre for Development of East Planning Region, realized the promotional event for the establishment of Business Center for support and consulting services for small and medium enterprises in the East Planning Region, on 28-October-2014 at the University "Goce Delchev" in Stip. The significance of the establishment of the Business Center confirmed the presence of the Deputy Minister of Local Government Mr. Ljupcho Prendzov, current Representative of Development Program of the United Nations (UNDP) Ms. Louisa Vinton, presentation of Prim. MA Ilcho Zacharias, Mayor of Stip Municipality, Mr. Toni Tonevski, President of the Council for Development of the East Planning Region, and Mrs. Dragica Zdraveva, Director of the Centre for Development of the East Planning Region.

SEEMORE Central European Transfer Seminar

Representatives from 16 tourist destinations in 7 countries, namely Lezhe and Tirana (Albania); Tuzla and Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina); Sofia (Bulgaria); Zadar and Varazdin (Croatia); Stip and Ohrid (Macedonia); Baau, Costinesti and Bucharest (Romania); Novi Sad, Sremski Karlovci, Arandjelovac and Belgrade (Serbia) gathered in Bucharest on 30 October 2014 to attend the second SEEMORE Central European Transfer Seminar.

XXI Assembly of Mayors from Bregalnitsa - Strumica Region

On 21.10.2014 (Tuesday) at 12:00 pm at the hotel "Romantic", Dojran municipality, XXI (twenty-first) Regional Assembly of Mayors from Bregaltnisha-Strumica region was held.

The Assembly was attended by Mayors of East and South-East Planning Region, Managers of Centers for development of East and South-East Planning Region, the Representatives of GIZ-RED programme in the Republic of Macedonia, representatives from the Office of the Vice President of the Government of Republic of Macedonia for Economic Affairs and coordination of economic sectors, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government and representatives of Regional Development Bureau.

Commence preparation of a strategy for development of tourism in the East planning region with action plan (2015-2024)

As part of this project as the first activity is prepration of "Study for the situation with the potentials for development of tourism in the East planning region". For the preparation of this study, by a team of expert companies IDEAO.K and Balkan Development Solutions (BDS), and the Centre for Development of East planning region was organized workshop for analysis of the space

This is the first workshop to a group of stakeholders from the East planning region in the area of the planned activities for the preparation of a study on the situation with the potentials for development of tourism in the East planning region. Prepration of the Study is project activity within the project for development of a Strategy for development of tourism in East planning region with Action Plan (2015-2024).

Steering Borad of the Project PZP and PURS Bregalnitsa

1. The fourth meeting of the Steering Board of the Programme for Nature Conservancy in Macedonia 

On 02.10.2014, at the hotel "Monastery" in Berovo, starting at 11:00 am, the fourth meeting of the Steering Board of the Programme for Nature Conservancy in Macedonia was held. The main objective of this Programme (Project) which is implemented in the East Planning Region and Bregalnica upper basin, is to preserve biodiversity and natural ecosystems through the promotion of their sustainable management and utilization. Project duration is 4 (four) years with a budget of CHF 4.00 million and is being implemented for the second year in coordination with Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation and Pharmachem from Skopje.

Second workshop for review / preparation of the Programme for development of East Planning Region (2015-2019)

On 02-03.10.2014, in Hotel Izgrev in Shtip, the Centre for Development of East Planning Region held a second workshop for review / preparation of the Programme for development of the East Planning Region (2015-2019). The audit program is implemented in accordance with Article 12 of the Law for Regional Development (Fig. Gazette no. 63/2007) and Rulebook for the methodology for preparation of planning documents for regional development, Fig. Gazette 102/2009 year.

Final Annual Conference - SEE in 2014

In Ljubljana, Slovenia from 24-25 September 2014 the Final Conference of the Programme for Transnational Cooperation in SEE 2007-2013 was held.. On The Conference, the Centre for Development of East Planning Region was represented by the director Mrs. Dragica Zdraveva and Mrs. Zujica Angelova, the coordinator for the regional development. The programme for transnational cooperation in SEE, includes 16 participating countries: Austria, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Greece, Czech Republic, Italy, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine. This program has the largest number of participating countries between the European territorial cooperation programs. SEE Program has proved as successful tool for improving of the integration and increase cooperation in areas outside the borders of countries and has a real impact on the lives of citizens.
