On 16^th and 17^th September in Skopje was organized a study visit at which participants were from nine countries, twelve partner organizations / institutions involved in the project PPP4Broadbend, Mayor of Makedonska Kamenica - pilot municipality which will directly implement one of the 9 PPP models, the Ministry of Information society, and a senior from "Alcatel Lucent". On the event was presented solution for public private partnership in the field of broadband for Macedonska Kamenica municipality which is one of the four municipalities that are participating in projects that verify the validity of nine PPP models and paves the way for further use in reducing "broadband gap "in rural areas of South East Europe (SEE). 

From 17^th to 19^th September 2014, the Committee of the Regions in Brussels, Belgium organized a seminar for rural development. The purpose of the seminar was to present the policies and programs of the European Union Rural Development for the period 2014-2020 to the representatives of the Western Balkans and Turkey. 

In the countries from the region, rural areas face numerous structural and socio-economic problems for which solutions can be found within the rural development policy of the EU and the CAP. This program can increase productivity and employability of people in these regions, especially in rural areas. The territorial approach to rural development, among other things, requires strengthening the capacity of regional and local authorities play an important role in meeting the requirements for EU accession in the field of rural development.

In order to start the process for review / preparation of the Programme for development of the East Planning Region (2015-2019), the Centre for development of East Planning Region in coordination with the Ministry of Local Government and GIZ RED programme for regional economic development in the Republic of Macedonia and the Swiss Agency for development and Cooperation, organized a workshop on day 11 and 12.09.2014, in the hotel Izgrev in Stip.

Centre for Development of East Planning Region under the project "Networking of multimedia centers in the border region - Creative" on 09.04.2014 in Hotel Izgrev in Stip, held an introductory workshop for establishing of the cluster for creative industries in the East Planning Region. The workshop was attended by 36 people from different organizations and sectors of the East Planning Region.

Creative industry in the country is not represented, so the Centre for development of the East region with the establishment of clusters as an activity of this project is making the first steps in this area.

On 8/27/2014, at the Center for Development of East Planning Region,  working meeting was held between representatives of the project partners Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation from Bern, Switzerland, Pharmachem Skopje and Center for Development of East Planning Region.

The new team leader of Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation Dr. Zora L. Urech was presented on this meeting. From the middle of October 2014, Dr. Urech will replace the current team leader Mr. Thomas Stadtmüller. Mr. Stadtmüller will be retired.

3rd Joint Working Group meeting for Preparation of R. Bulgarija - R. Macedonia IPA Cross-border Programme (2014-2020)

On August 21, 2014 in Sofia, R.Bulgaria, at Best Western Plus City Hotel, commons working group for the preparation of the IPA Programme for cross-border cooperatio between R.Bulgaria - R. Macedonia (2014-2020) held third regular meeting on which was presented the final version of the programme.

The process for the preparation of Programmes for Development of the Planning Regions 2015-2019 was started

The Ministry of Local Government with the support of GIZ RED programme for R. Macedonia started the process of preparing programmes for development of the planning regions for the period 2015-2019.

The first workshop for review and preparation of programmes for planning regions was held on 19 August 2014, in Skopje, attended by the heads of the 8 (eight) Centers for Regional Development in Macedonia and employees in the Centers responsible to coordinate process review / preparation of the programmes, representatives form the Ministry of Local Government, Bureau of regional Development, GIZ RED programme and appointed experts involved in the process of preparation.

On July 10, 2014, the premises of Pharmachem Skopje hosted the first working meeting with the expert team of the company IDEA OK Skopje start by making the "Strategy for the development of tourism in the East planning region Action Plan (2015-2024)".

This strategy is one of the activities that the Centre for development of the Eastern planning region, as a strategic partner and Pharmachem of Skopje, as a local coordinator to implement the project "Programme for Conservation of Nature in Macedonia", which is implemented in the East planning region (2013-2016), financed by the Swiss Agency for development and Cooperation-SDC (Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation).

On 10 July 2014 on the summer scene on the town square in Pehchevo was launched the fourth edition of the Festival Brass band Pehchevo 2014th. Program at the scene of the city square was opened by majorettes from Blagoevgrad and Simitli, Rrpublic of Bulgaria. The audience was amused by performance of Ensemble and KUD "Jane Sandanski" from Pehchevo (last year's winner of festival Pehcevo Uska Kan) and orchestra from Surdulica (Republic of Serbia), and also with performances of folk stars Aneta and group Mura.
